Advanced Tender Forward Notice – Expression of Interest (EOI) – Sky Safari Gondola Supplier

Development Victoria is seeking to engage a specialised Gondola supplier for the Werribee Open Range Zoo (WORZ) expansion project (Project).

In the November 2020 State Budget announcement, the Victorian State Government made a commitment for expanding Werribee Open Range Zoo. The expansion is expected to deliver seven key packages of work, one being the Sky Safari gondola spanning approximately 1600 metres across the site.

Bidders for this EOI will need to be a supplier for Gondola Cable Car Infrastructure and it is proposed to novate to a Contractor engaged by the Project. Further details of the scope and program will be included in this Tender.

The procurement will be conducted via an initial Expressions of Interest (EOI) process with Development Victoria, which may (or may not) be followed by a Selected Tender where shortlisted bidders are invited to submit a detailed proposal via Request for Tender (RFT). The timelines for this procurement are detailed below.

The Local Jobs First Policy and Social Procurement Framework will apply to this procurement. It is anticipated to use a modified contract of AS4300 Design and Construct (subject to change).
