The redevelopment of the former Fitzroy Gasworks site at 433 Smith Street, will be a whole of Government approach to urban renewal, delivering an integrated, sustainable and thriving urban village showcasing the revitalisation of a strategic inner-city site for a growing Melbourne.  The site offers a significant urban renewal opportunity for Melbourne’s inner suburbs, with a focus on mixed use development including housing, recreation, education and commercial uses.

Development Victoria is seeking to compile a list of suitably skilled and experienced Bidders, interested in ultimately developing a Place Activation Strategy for the Fitzroy Gasworks Renewal/Redevelopment. As part of this EOI, bidders are required to provide a reverse brief which demonstrates the proposed design and delivery methodology required to develop the Place Activation Strategy. 

Following the evaluation of EOI responses, Bidder responses will be consolidated to refine the Project Brief and released to the shortlisted Bidder(s), as part of a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) to demonstrate the proposed design and delivery methodology for the implementation of activation initiatives on site.
