Description
Parks Victoria is intending to release a Request for Tender in July 2019 for the hard material dredging at Portarlington Safe Harbour to provide safe navigational access for vessels within the harbour. The project will include the removal of sand/clay/rock deposits to enable safe utilisation and mooring in the harbour.
Approximately 6,000m3 materials are proposed to be dredged using an approved method. Dredged materials can be disposed at VRCA DMG (managed by VRCA) or an approved site. VRCA has the following conditions for disposal of materials at their site:
- Pre dredge survey
- Disposal of the material in the low spots of the DMG
- Post dredge survey .
The material to be dredged has been assessed as an uncontaminated clay and loose weathered rocks.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
