Lower Murray Urban and Rural Water Corporation (LMW) provides river quality water services to customers in the four pumped irrigation districts of Mildura, Merbein, Red Cliffs and Robinvale, and to the Millewa and Yelta waterworks districts.

The reticulation system that delivers the pumped water from the river to the customers is aging and, in some cases, deteriorating beyond an acceptable level to maintain a reliable level of service.

In addition to the reliability of the reticulation pipework, the overall systems need to have adequate redundancy to ensure customers have access to irrigation water when required.

This Irrigation Mains Replacement Contract involves the replacement of irrigation mains at three locations within the Mildura district, three locations in the Merbein district and two locations in the Red Cliffs district.
