South Gippsland Water invites tenders for the design, supply and construction of phosphorus removal and irrigation upgrades at the Meeniyan Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).

The works include the design, supply, installation, commissioning and testing of a new Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) package plant (within a building) to provide additional treatment to reduce phosphorus discharge levels to Stony Creek. The DAF system will include chemical dosing, flocculation, flotation, sludge management, and associated civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works. The project also includes design, supply, installation, commissioning and testing  of an automated irrigation system to maximise onsite reuse of treated effluent. These upgrades will ensure compliance with EPA licence conditions and support the sustainable management of treated wastewater for the township.

A non-mandatory briefing session outlining the tender opportunity and scope of works will commence on Wednesday 30th July 2025 at 1pm via Microsoft Teams. Contractors are required to register their intention to attend with Shelaan Mathes with at least 48 hours' notice.

A mandatory site visit outline the scope and surroundings will commence on Friday 1st August at 1pm at Meeniyan WWTP, off Stony Creek Road, Meeniyan . Contractors must register their intention to attend with Shelaan Mathes (contact information below ) with at least 48 hours notice.
