As part of the Urban Parks Active Wellbeing Program, Parks Victoria seeks to extend the existing pedestrian trail (“Bay Trail”) at Point Cook, to connect with the future Aveo boardwalk over the saltmarsh at the Cheetham Wetlands.

The project seeks to construct a new elevated walkway section approximately 265m in length for both pedestrian and cycling use. The trail extension will be an elevated structure to minimise impacts on the surrounding wetland, as well as a boardwalk section constructed from composite decking, associated linemarking and will include perforated aluminium panels to enclose the structure.
