Description

Corrections Victoria (CV) is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria’s corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services. As a service agency within the Department of Justice and Regulation (DJR), CV develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour. 

Corrections Victoria, Department of Justice and Regulation requires the services of a suitably qualified supplier for the provision of state- wide 'Drug and Alcohol Testing Services for prisoners and offenders' 

The testing services are required at the following facilities:  

Community corrections services - 55 locations across the state, approximately 35 of which are five day-a-week operations. Testing samples will need to be collected from these locations and processed by the respondent.  

Prisons/Public correctional facilities - 13 public prisons and 1 transition centre. Testing samples are collected by CV and transported to a warehouse, where the respondent will collect and process the samples.  

 

The contract is for a 3 year term with 2 x 1 year extensions for up to five years .
