Description

The State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) is a Victorian Statutory Authority managing the operation of Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), State Netball and Hockey Centre (SNHC), Lakeside Stadium (LS) and MSAC Institute of Training (MIT).

The Trust has been operating since 1997. Currently attracting 2.95 Million patrons annually, hosting hundreds of competitions, events, and active communities. 

SSCT is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) for the provision of Grounds, Gardens, and Turf Pitch Maintenance at all SSCT venues.

Addendum - Notes

 

To all parties concerned:

A list of questions and answers from across the board in relation to the tender at SSCT:

 What mulch type is required or preferred for each site? Currently there are three different types. Mulch is assessed and is on a POA

 Do we quote to top up granitic sand areas? Correct

The mulch at MSAC located in creche? Is to be soft fall and meet Australian standards

 Are there any time restrictions or constraints to mow around the outside pool at MSAC etc.? There will be and event and booking timetable supplied for all areas at all three venues that is to be worked around when it comes to maintenance and grounds work.

 Are there any herbicide restrictions? No

What machine is used at SNHC for regularly maintenance? SSCT supply and broom and sweeping unit that is used by the contractor to maintain the pitch.

Weekly Clegg Hammer and Reports? this should be monthly Clegg hammer for hardness and weekly reports on pitch turf wear and quality

Site Maps? can be provided upon request

Plants in indoor aquatics? there has been an omission and that all plants in the aquatic area is to be incorporated into contract

All major irrigation repairs are at a POA or unless irrigation is to repair urgent and major faults and that is extra - correct

Grass mowing frequency is described as x 2 per week in peak season & weekly in the off peak season – is this just for the pitch? for the pitch and all lawn areas

Amenity lawn areas – are they to be aerated, top dressed, broadleaf sprayed and fertilized? correct

line marking of the pitch is this to be included. If so it states that there are several formations across the year to be marked out – is there a timetable and drawings for these or will it be completed as a variation? There will be a time table a nd dimensions will be provide

Can dates of the soccer season be provided? April – October between 2/4 games a week plus training
