E-waste landfill ban: cost-benefit and economic analysis

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) wishes to engage a suitably qualified and experienced person/s to provide an expert economic analysis of the costs and benefits of an e-waste landfill ban in Victoria. This analysis would form a key component of a regulatory impact statement, and is likely to include:
- Defining and establishing an appropriate baseline which clearly and accurately identifies and articulates key costs, benefits and economic impacts of current approaches to the regulation and management of e-waste in Victoria
- Identifying, assessing and modelling the costs, benefits and economic impacts of preventing e-waste from going to landfill using various policy and regulatory options relative to the base case, accounting for a number of variables.
