The research and evaluation services required are within the following categories and relate to the correctional environment:

1. research of prisoner and offender population trends and issues
2. analysis of best practice in prisoner and offender management, program delivery and policy development
3. evaluation and assessment of performance, value and effectiveness of a range of programs for Victorian prisoners and offenders
4. reseach design
5. statistical modelling and analysis
