The TLM condition monitoring program assesses the long-term change in condition of the icon sites. The monitoring program has been undertaken since 2006, following prescribed methodologies in the TLM Condition Monitoring Plan and the refinement documents.

The condition monitoring program covers the condition of Red Gum and Black Box tree health, lignum, the condition of wetland and floodplain vegetation, fish communities and waterbird populations. This monitoring has been completed in the past using a single service provider. This year multiple providers will be considered where it creates efficiencies in project management and reporting.
