Description

Expression of Interest(EOI) for Expansion of the Current State-wide Schools Minor Works (SMW) Consultant Panel 2019-20

The Department of Education and Training (‘DET’ or the Department) is responsible for one of the largest asset portfolios and capital works budgets in the country. This includes over 1,571 government schools and over 17,000 buildings. These facilities have an asset value of over $20 billion that collectively educate over 603,000 students.

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is a division of the Department of Education and Training, established in 2016, to oversee the design and construction of new schools and early childhood centres, as well as the modernisation and upgrade of existing ones. The VSBA will manage this contract on behalf of the Department.

The State-wide Schools Minor Works (SMW) Consultancy Agreement is coming to an end in August 2020 and at the end of the contract term, the department will run a new tender process, details of which are yet to be finalised.

As the volume of work coming through is quite large, the department would like to expand the number of suppliers on its current consultancy panel from four to possibly eight.

The establishment of additional and suitably experienced consultants on the panel will :

  • Provide the Department with a diverse andexperienced resource pool with capacity in line with the volume and complexity of work.
  • Provide the Department assurance that all project requirements and timeframes can be achieved consistently
  • Provide the Department confidence that the available workload can be managed

Suppliers wishing to register their interest must provide details of their experience and capability and send a completed EOI response schedule.

Please refer to the EOI documents for further information.
