Description

Supply of Hearing Services to WorkSafe Victoria Injured Workers including

  • Hearing Needs Assessments
  • Hearing Device Fitting Packages
  • Hearing Consultations, Reviews and/or Maintenance
  • Hearing Device Battery Supply

WorkSafe Victoria is inviting all Hearing Service Practices (Providers) to participate in this Request for Tender (RFT) process.

The objectives of this RFT are to:

  • establish a panel of suitably qualified Providers to provide hearing services to injured workers;
  • obtain pricing information in order to inform WorkSafe’s view as to the reasonable cost of hearing services;
  • obtain contracted provider agreement to provide hearing services in accordance with the requirements set out in the proposed contract (Part C refers);
  • ensure broad access to services for workers across Victoria; and
  • provide an open and transparent process for providers to participate.

The proposed agreement is intended to commence on 16 June 2019 for an initial three year period with one two year option.

In issuing this RFT, WorkSafe Victoria seeks to identify Providers who have the skills, resources and experience necessary to provide Hearing Services as per Part C Proposed Agreement. Tender submissions are invited from Providers who are able to:

  • demonstrate capacity and capability to provide quality services to a client cohort similar to injured workers;
  • provide calibration certification of audiometric testing equipment for each site in line with Australian Standard AS 1269.4.2014;
  • provide ambient noise level certification for all consulting and test rooms for each site in accordance with Australian Standard AS 1269.4.2014;
  • supply a wide range of hearing device and assistive listening accessory brands to meet the needs of injured workers;
  • provide competitive and cost effective pricing for hearing and related services; and
  • provide hearing services from one or more location in Metropolitan Melbourne and/or across Victorian regional and rural areas (preference will be given for broad geographic coverage and multiple operating locations).
