Supplier Post #3 - Product subsitution This post is publicly visible

Will you accept subsitutions of products? For some lines, we are able to offer an Australian made alternative but they are not part of your current range.

If so, is it permitted to make a note of this in the pricing table? Or quote on the proposed garment and add the Australian Made garment pricing separately?

Hi Kara,

Your response must adhere to the Local Manufature mandate which states that; Imported goods will be considered where buying locally made goods it not possible.

Please only provide pricing on the items listed in Annexure C - Pricing Schedule Coporate Branded Wear and Personal Protective Equipment.

Local Manufacture

The goods, if they are able to be manufactured locally, must be locally manufactured.  This means:

  • (locally) the Goods must be manufactured within Australia or New Zealand;
  • (manufactured) the Goods must be substantially transformed : for example a clothing item substantially transformed from fabric to a garment through the “cut, make and trim” process” and
  • (able to be locally manufactured) that there exists within Australia or New Zealand a genuine market and manufacture(s) who are able to manufacture the Goods.

Imported goods will be considered only where buying locally made goods is not possible.
