Description

CarbonNet is part of the Victorian Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources and is investigating the potential for establishing a carbon capture and storage network in the Gippsland Basin, Victoria, Australia.

CarbonNet is considering acquiring a marine 3D seismic survey in summer 2017-18 and, if it does so, it will need a person or organisation to provide HSE advice in its dealings with a Seismic Management Company that will manage the procurement and operation of the survey on CarbonNet's behalf.  The Seismic HSE Advisor will work with a Seismic Advisor who will provide technical advice to CarbonNet. The scope of the Seismic HSE Advisory Services project will include:

  • Review/audit the Seismic Management company and Seismic Contractor HSE systems and procedures
  • Provide recommendations and/or suggested changes to the SMCS and Seismic Contractor HSE system and Procedures to meet CarbonNet’s legislative obligations
  • Negotiate changes to the SMCS and Seismic Contractor HSE system and Procedures
  • Provide CarbonNet with a letter of assurance stating that the SMCS and Seismic Contractor HSE system and Procedures have been audited and, to the best of the contractor's ability and knowledge, meet CarbonNet's HSE obligations

The Seismic HSE Advisor will not have a supervisory role with the Seismic Management Company or the vessel contractor.
