Renewable Certificate Purchasing Initiative – Solar Certificate Tender
RCPIS2RFT
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is undertaking a tender on behalf of the Victorian State Government (State) for the procurement of Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) from new Solar Projects in Victoria. Through this initiative, the government aims to:
- Bring forward investment in new renewable solar energy projects in Victoria by procuring up to 152,000 LGCs per annum commencing no later than 31 October 2018,
- promote job creation and economic development in regional Victoria where renewable energy projects are located; and
- promote investor confidence in Victoria’s renewable energy sector.
The State is seeking to enter into an LGC Sale and Purchase Agreement/s with the successful Tenderer/s, to meet its effective certificate obligation and for the Solar Trams initiative.

RFT closes at 2.00pm (AEST) on Thursday 20 April 2017.
