Description

The Monash Employment Cluster (MEC) is an area of national significance which is expecting considerable residential and job growth. The Cluster has also been identified as needing significant refurbishment to improve its ‘liveability’ and employment attractiveness. The key challenge for the water related services is to deliver the infrastructure to meet the expected growth in a way that also improves the liveability of the area. This can best be done through a consideration of planned activities/work and known deficits in ‘liveability’ and employment attractiveness within the area. When this is done from the point of how water can enhance the community’s environment it can be called Integrated Water Management (IWM).

The recent Waters For Victoria policy framework indicates that a more collaborative and flexible approach is required if we are to have successful IWM projects. South East Water is to lead the overall IWM plan development for the Monash Employment Cluster with other authorities, organisations and councils support and collaboration.

South East Water is looking to engage a suitably qualified Invitee to assist with the following:

  1. Exploration of IWM opportunities within the MEC and surrounds.
  2. Mapping of IWM opportunities within the MEC and surrounds.
  3. KPIs Development and Mapping for the MEC and surrounds
  4. Development of conceptual plans for IWM activities.
