Description

The Victorian School Building Authority (The Authority) has been recently established and forms part of the Department of Education (The Department). The Authority and the Department are responsible for managing the Victorian Government School asset portfolio and ensuring a safe and securely built environment for all students, staff and visitors at government schools throughout Victoria. This includes 1539 schools made up of over 17,000 buildings
The Authority is seeking responses to this invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for service delivery of the Rolling Facilities Evaluation (RFE) Project to assess the asset condition of all schools across Victoria over a five year timeframe.

The Rolling Facilities Evaluation (RFE) project contributes to the Department’s Asset Strategy 2014-2024 actions to deliver a high quality and safe asset base and to ensure consistent and evidence-based decision making across the asset life cycle.
The RFE requires auditing the asset condition of approximately one fifth of all Victorian Government schools per year over a contiguous five-year period. All schools must be audited at least once within a five-year period.

The objectives of the RFE are to:

•    Provide a program of audits to all schools while minimising disruption to staff and students
•    Obtain consistent, comprehensive and accurate asset condition information across the Authority’s asset portfolio
•    Achieve value for money by driving efficiencies and providing a standardised audit program.
