This call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) is your opportunity to secure a site within the 24 hectare Ballarat West Employment Zone (BWEZ) Freight Hub.

The Victorian Government (State) in partnership with the City of Ballarat is offering up to 24 hectares of land for sale off-the-plan, in parcels sized to suit your needs, to purchasers looking to establish:

• Road, rail and intermodal transport operations, including truck parking, weighbridge and other public or shared facilities

• Freight handling, storage, deconsolidation and consolidation activities including containerisation of goods

• Manufacturing activities producing significant quantities of outbound or inbound freight, that could benefit from immediate access to efficient freight services

The Ballarat West Employment Zone (BWEZ) will be a high quality, high-profile, 438 hectare industrial precinct in one of the fastest-growing regions of Victoria. Stage 1 of BWEZ commenced in 2014 with the release of 60.1 hectares of serviced industrial land. The Stage 1 subdivision works will be completed in mid-2016 and the first industrial occupants are expected to be operational by late 2016.
