Monash Health is the largest Health Service in Victoria.   We are seeking to enhance the Retail Services offered to our patients, staff and visitors.   Expressions of Interest (EOI) are sought from suitably qualified suppliers for the provision of Retail Services across a number of our campuses.

 We are inviting proposals for an expanded and innovative Retail Services portfolio and we will consider a wide variety of Retail Services or varied operating models.  Expressions of Interest are sought, and are not limited to the following services: café & coffee cart, convenience store/mini-supermarket, florist, post office, dry cleaning, cosmetic/beauty, hair dressing or other relevant services.

 Monash Health will also consider other retail service offerings and will also consider combined retail models, for example gift shop/florist or other value-added combinations.

 Monash Health is particularly interested in expanded retail service provision and would welcome proposals which provide external capital investment to realise additional space at any campus.  However this is particularly relevant at the Monash Medical Centre (MMC) campus.   MMC is Monash Health’s largest campus supporting 640 inpatient beds and employing over 5000 staff.   This campus is also undergoing significant expansion with the new Monash Children’s Hospital currently under construction on the north side of the Main Building, in addition to the new Translational Research Facility being constructed as part of the Monash Health Translation Precinct[1] which adjoins the campus.

 Monash Health will consider expansion options outside of the existing footprint or relocation of functions within the existing footprint.  Monash Health is seeking innovative proposals that will help facilitate the achievement of the vision for an expanded retail portfolio.

 Monash Health is currently completing a Master Plan review of the MMC campus and proposals will be considered in the context of future site use, however we have not defined particular spaces or areas so as to encourage innovative/unique proposals. The successful supplier(s) will be responsible for all establishment costs.

 Expressions of Interest are sought from suppliers for either individual Retail Services or for the provision of the range of services under the management of one supplier or consortia.  Monash Health will consider any model which might suit its needs.
