The Murray-Darling Basin Plan requires Victoria to prepare five Water Resource Plans (WRPs) to demonstrate Victoria’s arrangements for sustainable use and management of water resources. These plans must be prepared having regard to current and future risks to the condition and continued availability of the water resources of the water resource plan area.
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified service provider to assist it identify, analyse and evaluate the risks in each of the five WRP areas. The service provider will be required to 1) undertake a desktop study that analyses the extent of key risks and current policies to mitigate risks and 2) facilitate workshops with an advisory group to identify and evaluate all risks.
