Description

Tenders are sought for the provision of current best practice air quality monitoring solutions to enable a rapid air quality monitoring response for 'prolonged smoke events', providing community air toxicant exposure data needed by emergency response agencies within agreed timeframes to inform and underpin public health and operational decisions.

This tender contains two requirements and Tenderers are invited to bid for either or both as follows:

  • The provision of highly portable, easy to use air quality monitoring equipment such as hand held meters and standalone equipment for outdoor use. The equipment will meet various requirements including being individually telemetered and enabled to provide locational coordinates. The Tenderer will also design and deliver tailored training sessions for 10 emergency response personnel in the use, calibration and maintenance of the equipment.
  • The design, construction, configuration and testing of one to two mobile air quality monitoring units which will provide telemetered data to EPA's data acquisition system. The data will be captured in accordance with current operational Australian Standards or equivalent. Unit design will incorporate flexibility to measure any combination of the nominated parameters and be configured as portable shelters which can be transported by tilt tray or crane truck.

Documents will be available for download from12:00 Australian EST on 8 July 2015
