Description
Loddon Mallee Rural Health Alliance (LMRHA) is one of five rural health alliances within Victoria. LMRHA includes 23 organisations made up of acute and community health members and customers that service a geographic area of approximately 25% of the Victorian landmass with a population of around 310,000 covering 58,678 square kilometres and across ten Local Government Authorities. Clients and patients also come from the New South Wales and South Australia border catchment areas.
Each Alliance is responsible for the provision of a number of core services to their members. For information only the core services include:
· Strategic planning
· Advocacy and representation
· Wide area network
· Internet Services
· Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
· Video Conference “back end” management, help desk, and end point equipment maintenance
· Bulk purchase management
· Network management and monitoring
· Standards and policy development
· Web services
· Service Desk for core services
· Service Desk HealthSmart applications
· Shared Services for specific applications, e.g. Email, Management Advantage, RiskMan.
Many of these services are currently outsourced to a number of different parties and have been for a number of years. BHCG is taking this opportunity to go to market for the Contracted Services to ensure LMRHA provides the best possible services for LMRHA members in the most cost effective manner.
