Description
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) conducts elections for the Parliament of Victoria. The next State election will be held on 27 November 2010.
A key part of the election is to provide electors with services that enable them to vote independently. The VEC is further developing an electronic voting system that enables eligible community groups to do this via a software program.
The VEC requires a touch-screen kiosk for this software. Approximately 102 kiosks will be required and they must be designed and manufactured according to the VEC’s specifications. The kiosks will be deployed to Early Voting Centre sites around Victoria and the United Kingdom for use during the early voting period for the 2010 Victorian State election (15 November – 26 November 2010). Some will also be used in Mobile Early Voting centres within Victoria.
