Description
The Government made an election commitment to invest in a comprehensive package of new parent and early childhood supports to help Victorian families, including funding seven new Early Parenting Centres (EPC) and refurbishment of two existing centres, as described in the media release. Phase 1 will be the redevelopment and part new construction of the two existing centres. Tweddle and Queen Elizabeth Centre (QEC) currently service 1% of Victorian families that have 0 - 4 year olds, often with a waiting period of over 30 days. The planned works will expand capacity across all programs as well as enhancing service delivery. Services include 24-hour residential, day stay and home-based services.
