The Department of Transport’s Transport Analysis and Assessment Branch is responsible for understanding current and future usage of the transport system and the performance of the transport system against the outcomes we want the system to achieve. This information supports a wide range of uses, included, but not limited to, strategic planning, business case development and evaluation, operations (including disruption management), customer information and communications.

This RFI seeks responses from suitably experienced organisations that can provide solutions to collecting and aggregating data on how people use the transport system and how the system is performing.

This RFI will allow the Department to gain a detailed understanding of the supplier market and understand how data from mobile and connected devices could be utilised in transport planning.
