Description

Court Services Victoria (CSV) is seeking suitably qualified Service Providers to deliver the Court Mandated Counselling Order Program at Heidelberg, Ballarat, Frankston, Moorabbin and Shepparton Magistrates’ Courts.

The Magistrates’ Court of Victoria (MCV) is undertaking a number of initiatives in line with the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Family Violence (RCFV). These initiatives will enhance the safety of those who have experienced family violence and increase the accountability of those perpetrators who use violence towards family members. One element of this approach is the implementation of a single best practice Counselling Order Program model within the Specialist Family Violence Court (SFVC) Divisions.

CSV is a body corporate established by the Court Services Victoria Act 2014 (Vic) to provide the administrative services and facilities necessary for Victoria’s courts and tribunals to operate independently of the direction of the executive branch of government. CSV is governed by a Courts Council consisting of Victoria’s six heads of jurisdiction; the Chief Justice, the Chief Judge, the Chief Magistrate, the President of the Children’s Court, the State Coroner, and the President of VCAT; and up to two other members.

The function of CSV is to provide, or arrange for the provision of, the administrative services and facilities necessary or desirable:

a)    To support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of:

  • Supreme Court;
  • The County Court;
  • The Magistrate Court;
  • The Children’s Court;
  • The Coroners Court;
  • VCAT; and
  • The Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal.

(b)  To enable the Judicial College of Victoria to perform its functions; and
(c)  To enable the Judicial Commission to perform its functions.

For further information about CSV, see https://www.courts.vic.gov.au/

IMPORTANT NOTE: Respondents are advised to commence upload of their response at least 2 hours prior to closing time. Insufficient time to ensure upload by the closing date and time is not a valid reason for the acceptance of a late submission.
