NOTICE OF AMENDMENT AND EXTENSION OF TIME

By this notice, Rail Projects Victoria (RPV) amends the document entitled ‘GSB Project – Invitation for Expression of Interest’ issued by Rail Projects Victoria and extends certain dates under the GSB Project Invitation for Expression of Interest issued on 29 March 2019 (Invitation for EOI).

A summary of the changes are as follows:

Gippsland Line Upgrade, Shepparton Corridor Upgrade and Bendigo Line Upgrade (GSB) repackaged into two separate projects

• The GSB Project is repackaged into two separate projects:
  • Gippsland Line Upgrade and Bendigo Line Upgrade works, to be procured as an alliance (G&B Project); and
  • Shepparton Corridor Upgrade works, to be procured as an alliance (SCU Project).

The amended close dates are as follows:

•             Clarification Closing Time and Date – 2pm, 20 June 2019

•             EOI Closing Time and Date – 2pm, 27 June 2019

The Invitation for EOI is updated as set out in the Addendum 1. 

PROJECT SUMMARY

Rail Projects Victoria (a division of the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority) is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the Gippsland Line Upgrade, Shepparton Corridor Upgrade and Bendigo Line Upgrade collectively named previously as the ‘GSB Project’, to be delivered through an alliance delivery model .

The G&B Project and SCU Projects represent the largest work packages within the Regional Rail Revival program and comprise upgrades along each of the Gippsland, Shepparton and Bendigo rail corridors, enabling improved safety and reliability. Improving V/Line services will enhance the connectivity between Melbourne, other large regional centres and dispersed regional communities. The scope includes the design and construction of passing loops, track duplication, station platforms, level crossing upgrades, and major signalling upgrades.

Interested Parties must be registered and meet the pre-qualification requirements in order to participate in the procurement process, including accessing and participating in the Electronic Data Room (wherein the Returnable Schedules document is stored), and lodging an EOI Response. The Pre-qualification Document can be downloaded from this page.

Please note, Respondents who have pre-qualified for the GSB Project Invitation for Expression of Interest need not pre-qualify again.
