Purpose:

The Mt Buller & Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board wishes to advise potential Contractors of an upcoming project – Design and Construction of the Mt Buller Water Storage Project. This advance notice is provided so that Contractors can assess their readiness to undertake the project when the tender is issued, particularly given the need for detailed design works.

Project:

The key elements of the project are the detailed design and construction of:

• A 100ML off-stream water storage amidst the ski-field;
• Watering system for alpine bogs;
• New pump and pipe infrastructure;
• Reconfiguration of existing water infrastructure;
• New gravel roadway.

 The expected key dates are:

• 22 February 2019 - Tender issue
• 22 March 2019 - Tender close
• 22 April 2019 - Tender Award
• October 2019 - Construction commences
• May 2020 - Construction and commissioning complete prior to the 2020 snow season
