Transport for Victoria’s (TfV) Transport Analysis and Assessment Branch (the organisation) is responsible for the estimation and analyses of public transport patronage, including analyses of how the network is used. This information is used to support a wide range of uses, included, but not limited to, strategic planning, business case development and evaluation, operations (including disruption management), customer information, communications, and more. The organisation seeks to understand what technologies are available and how they may be used to measure station use.
