Description

The department is seeking suitably qualified and experienced parties  for the provision of a service to receive, warehouse, deliver, manage and distribute orders for Commonwealth-funded vaccines as listed on the National Immunisation Program, and  other specified vaccines and products, to immunisation providers in Victoria in accordance with the recommended Australian vaccine ‘cold chain’ monitoring system guidelines.

The successful tenderer will be required to provide a fully maintained, functional web portal interface for immunisation providers and the department to facilitate vaccine ordering and to provide real-time stock visibility via a reporting tool to the department. The web portal needs to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the department on an ongoing basis for the term of the agreement.

The successful tenderer will be responsible for processing vaccine orders from Victorian immunisation providers and departmental staff, which could be submitted via the tenderer’s on-line ordering system, fax, email or phone (departmental staff only).

Orders must comply with business rules as defined by the department, and the screening and compliance process will be the responsibility of the successful tenderer. The successful tenderer will ensure that cold chain of the products stored and warehoused is maintained at all times. Similarly, the successful tenderer will be responsible for the condition of the vaccines during storage, transportation and up to and including the point of delivery and hand over to the immunisation provider.
