The Mallee CMA seeks to appoint a suitably experienced Service Provider to deliver the Merbein Carpark Upgrade and Track Rationalisation Project. The Merbein Cowanna/Brickworks area is a popular recreational area of floodplain adjacent to the Merbein Township on the outskirts of Mildura Central. The area is public land and is used by members of the public for birdwatching, bushwalking, fishing, and camping. The area has suffered from vegetation disturbance, and erosion issues. As a result there is now a significant network of unofficial tracks all throughout this landscape.

This project aims to reduce the unofficial track network, by installing recycled plastic bollards and interlinking white coated cable, and provide all weather access to designated camping areas by capping access tracks and camping areas with limestone road base.
