This Pre-Qualification Tender will be re-opened due to the need to ensure that Federation University has an adequate number of suppliers available to provide services as a panel for the Electrical Service Provision across all Campuses.

To ensure that this tender is successful we invite all suppliers to participate including:

  • Suppliers that have not submitted previously are welcome to do so.
  • Any suppliers that a made a pre-qualification submission but did not qualify can re-submit.

Contractors that have already qualified and lodged submissions are not required to resubmit if they are satisfied with their current tender.

Two stages of this Tender are

All Pre-Qualification questions are required to be answered by no later than Friday 31st October 2018, 4pm AEST. Once the supplier has been deemed qualified you will get access to the full tender.

Qualified Suppliers: Qualified Suppliers will then be advised via an email notification from Tender Search.  The supplier can then log into Tender Search to answer the relevant questions for the Request for Tender process. Close off date for submission will be Friday 16th November 2018, 4pm AEST.

If you have already registered on the Tender Search please check to make sure that your email address is current as this is the only way you will receive notification. It is the supplier’s responsibility to ensure that you check the portal on a regular basis for notification of events and to view timelines.

The Facilities Services Department Staff are responsible for campus planning, building maintenance, and a multitude of other services to maintain the University Campuses.  The specified services are required within a variety of buildings across the University.  These buildings are located at the Ballarat Campuses, Western Campuses (Horsham Ararat and Stawell) Churchill and the Berwick Campus. Pre-Qualification questions will be evaluated by several staff from Facilities Services and successful candidates that qualify for the tender. Suppliers will then be advised via an email notification from Tender Search. The supplier can then log into Tender Search to answer the relevant questions for the Request for Tender process.

Mandatory criteria – Mandatory response is considered essential and that you must, at a minimum, meet. Failure to either provide a mandatory criterion means that your response to the question will be deemed as non-conforming. The supplier will still be considered in this tender.

The successful contractor would be required to work closely with the nominated Federation University Representative to achieve the desired outcomes in the negotiated timeframe and with value for money. All workmanship must comply to all relevant Australian Standards. The successful contractor would need to ensure they have staff available for minor works and maintenance over semester breaks including Christmas. Semester break.

Submissions will be evaluated by several staff from the Facilities Services section of the University and successful candidate(s) will be supplied with a Standing Purchase Order from Federation University which will be valid for 6 months or 12months.  The agreement will be for 3 years + 1 year + 1 year with annual reviews.  This arrangement will not be exclusive, nor does the arrangement guarantee you will receive any work with Federation University.  The University reserves the right to choose any supplier at any time.

Federation University have the right to request follow up Interviews or a request for Best and Final Offer.
