The Department of Education and Training (DET) has invested $8.5 billion to make Victoria the Education State, improving outcomes for every student, in every classroom, in every school, and for all communities. Ambitious targets have been established for Victorian school students to develop the skills, knowledge, creativity and resilience that will prepare them for the challenges of the future.

DET is seeking to engage a supplier/s; to supply and deliver children’s books to approximately 65,000 Foundation students (ages four to six years old), ready for distribution in January 2019.

The free books initiative seeks to engage children and their families in reading through quality literature to improve literacy outcomes for students across Victoria.
