The Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (the Department or DEDJTR) and
Agriculture Victoria are seeking to support through grant funding, the trial of agriculture related Internet of
Things (Ag‐IoT) services to assess the contribution that IoT makes to farm performance within four selected
agricultural industries ‐ dairy, grains, sheep, and horticulture (fruits, nuts, berries) and support the uptake of
IoT by the agriculture sector.

Important note: The Department has structured its approach to market in two separate but related RFPs
which will be run in parallel:

- IoT Trial ‐ Connectivity: Seeking responses on IoT network connectivity solutions from industry
respondents; and
-  IoT Trial – Applications/Devices: Seeking responses on agriculture related IoT applications and devices
from industry respondents.

Respondents can respond to one or both RFPs. This RFP covers IoT Trial ‐ Connectivity.
