The Economic Projects Department is seeking to engage a facilities management provider to manage the maintenance of Princes Pier as a base contract, with provision for ad-hoc repairs and for quotation on capital works as needed.

It is proposed that the department retains responsibility for capital, structural and lifecycle expenditure for the pier but will require advice from the FM provider on requirements, and may request quotations for any work.  It is also expected that, based on their experience, the FM provider will be able to drive very high service levels as well as provide cost efficiencies in managing the maintenance services for this state owned asset.
