South East Water Corporation (Organisation) is a provider of water, sewerage, trade waste and water saving services for residents and businesses in an area ranging from the South East of Melbourne to South Gippsland. We are one of Melbourne’s three water retailers owned by the Victorian Government.

As part of its normal business activities, the Organisation has an ongoing requirement, largely project-driven, for a range of services, including:

Land Access services:

Land Acquisition

Easement Creation

Leases

Negotiation of compensation in relation to land acquisitions, easements and leases

Other land access and property related services:

– Land disposal strategies

– Property investment due diligence

– Portfolio valuations and strategies

– Business case preparation (internal to South East Water)

– Legal agreements, section 173’s, covenants and contracts of sale

– Public land access negotiation.

Town Planning services:

Statutory Planning

Strategic Planning

This Invitation seeks a service provider (‘Supplier’) whose nominated team includes, critically, a Relationship Manager who is not only knowledgeable, experienced and capable in relation to the required services, and able to act in a project management role, but is knowledgeable of and experienced working with applicable legislation such as:

 the Land Aquistion and Compensation Act 1986

 the Property Law Act 1958

 the Water Act 1989 (Vic)

 the Planning and Environment Act 1987

 the processes of Valuer-General Victoria

The Organisation is keen that the Relationship Manager be within easy reach of South East Water’s Frankston office for the purpose of short, ad hoc, meetings when needed.

The Relationship Manager would lead discussions and negotiations, on behalf of the Organisation, in compensation matters associated with Land Access.
