The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking to fund suitably qualified and experienced organisations to undertake initiatives that improve access to timely and targeted disability advocacy supports for people with a disability and their families.

The overall objective of the funding is that people with a disability and their families including diverse and isolated groups have access to timely and targeted disability advocacy supports.

The fund has four outputs: 

1. Accessible pathways for people to access advocacy supports when and where they need them.
2. Organisations apply targeted strategies to engage and provide advocacy support to diverse and isolated groups.
3. Organisations are able to adequately plan for levels of complexity and client contact time, and changes in demand.
4. The workforce has increased capacity to provide effective advocacy supports.

Eligible organisations are invited to submit project proposals for initiatives that primarily relate to one of the above outputs.
