Question: In regards to item 4.9 (e) in the Request For Tender document, could you please provide more detail regarding the MDM management currently provided by the 3rd party, including any staging and other managed services provided? Is Alfred Health looking to have these services provided as part of the new Mobile environment? Are there any additional MDM requirements such as identity management, mobile security, application management? Of the 1651 mobile services listed for the Alfred Health mobile fleet, can you please confirm how many of these will be required to be under MDM management?

Answer:

Alfred Health currently runs two (2) instances of Air watch:

  1.  a cloud instance; and
  2. on-premise instance.

The cloud services are primarily used to provide app deployment and management while the on-premise installation is legacy and will be discontinued.

It is anticipated that over the longer-term Alfred Health will likely migrate its smartphone fleet as detailed in attachment 7 to a suitable MDM service.

The MDM service will need to cater for device/app provisioning, distribution and management

Question: Based on the tender documentation there is no reference to the 'Victorian Governments Telecommunications Panel'.  Can company’s currently not on this panel respond and be considered for this tender (Alfred Health)?

Answer:  Yes. Suppliers not listed on the 'Victorian Government’s Telecommunications Panel' may respond to this RFT and will considered by Alfred Health.

We draw your attention to a major priority in Alfred Health undertaking this RFT, which is the need to improve the current In Building Coverage (IBC) within the Alfred Hospital Infrastructure currently impacting on staff and visitors.

To be considered for this RFT, Tenderers must be able to propose solutions that meet not only this, but and all other requirements defined in Part E: Specification.
