Description
In October 2014, the Australian Government transferred responsibility for the Framlingham and Lake Tyers Aboriginal Trusts (Trusts)’ MES delivery to the Victorian Government.
The Victorian Government has been allocated funds from the Australian Government for MES until June 2019, and The Victorian Government has committed to three years of further funding (until June 2022), which has been allocated from an internal state budget.
The Victorian Government carried out an independent review and assessment to understand the current services delivered, whilst also trying to:
- clarify and build clear accountabilities for all service providers; and
- provide advice for the future of MES delivery at the Trusts.
