Description
A regional flood mapping project covering the Goulburn and Broken Rivers downstream of Lake Eildon and Lake Nillahcootie to Loch Garry (downstream of Shepparton). The scope of the project includes hydrology and hydraulic analysis and community and agency consultation to deliver a number of outcomes, including:
- improve the flood related planning controls along the two river valleys;
- develop flood intelligence products and inform emergency response planning;
- assist the preparation of community flood awareness and education products; and
- provide an improved basis for the detailed assessment of proposed development on the floodplain.
