Description

The VWA has a need for a range of recruiting and temporary placement services in Melbourne and its network of offices in regional Victoria. The range of services will not include executive placements or IT professionals.

VWA therefore is undertaking a public tender process with a view to putting in place a panel of approved contractors for these services over a three-year period commencing on 1 July 2004. Overall expenditure on these services is currently estimated to be about $5 million a year. It should be noted that at the end of the process, being selected as a panellist will not automatically guarantee work.

VWA is initially seeking expressions of interest for the provision of the services. Formal tenders will be sought from a short list derived from this process at a later date.

In demonstrating its ability to successfully manage Victoria’s health and safety system and workers’ compensation scheme, VWA has embedded a culture of strong corporate governance and financial integrity, and has adopted core organisational values of commitment, integrity, cooperation, accountability and care.

VWA therefore seeks expressions of interest from recruiting and temporary placement providers that can

  • demonstrate a scale and breadth of operation that reflects the metropolitan and regional presence of VWA;
  • mirror the culture and core values of the VWA, and demonstrate an understanding of the sensitivities of the VWA’s operating environment;
  • maintain levels of professional indemnity and public liability insurance required by VMIA policy;
  • provide the highest levels of candidate and client care; and
  • meet Victorian Government policy requirements for and Ethical Purchasing.
