The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) wishes to appoint an Internal Auditor for the provision of internal audit services.

The provider of the internal audit service will be suitably qualified and experienced in the provision of internal audit services and will be required to assist the DPI Audit and Risk Standing Committee (ARMSC) in discharging its key role of pursuing sound governance and risk management strategies in the operation of DPI across nine divisions.

Tenders are welcome from individual firms with diverse capabilities, or consortia of suitably qualified organsiations with varied capabilities, brought together for the purpose of responding to this tender.

The succesful tenderer will be required to provide timely, professional and independent internal audit services in accordance with the annual Departmental audit program and three year strategic audit plan.

Tenders must be lodged in the Department of Primary Industries (Head Office) Tender Box - located on Level 16, 1 Spring Street, Melbourne, Vic, 3001 by the tender closing date.

Tenders close at 2:00 pm (AEST), Thursday, 9 December, 2004.

Late, faxed or e-mail tenders will not be accepted.

Briefing Session
There will be a briefing session held on Wednesday 1 December 2004 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Level 16, Room 16.3, 1 Spring Street, Melbourne. Prospective Tenderers wishing to attend this briefing session should contact Kathie Lucas, Project Manager, by e-mail at [email protected] outlining contact details no later than 5:00 pm (AEST), Monday 29 November 2004. It is not mandatory to attend, but will be the only time allowed for questions and answers. In this session the Department will record questions on notice and will circulate answers to briefing session participants.
