The Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital (East Melbourne) is currently in the process of tendering for a contractor(s) to provide Pathology services at its East Melbourne site. The Contract will be for a period of 3 years with the option of one three-year extension.

Required services include processing of the following pathology test types: Haematology, Biochemistry, Cytology, Microbiology, Tissue Pathology, Immunology.

Prospective tenderers may tender for individual bundled services as described above, or as a single source Prime Vendor Contract.
Notes of interest should be sent together with a non-refundable fee of $50 (for the reproduction of these documents) and should be sent to the address below by Wednesday, 28 January 2004. A Request for Tender (RFT) will be issued to interested parties and should be completed in full and submitted on or before Friday, 20 February 2004.

Companies will be required to demonstrate their technical experience, past experience of similar service provision and financial ability to undertake these services. Evaluation of the Tender will enable the Eye & Ear to draw up a shortlist of candidates, who will be invited to provide a presentation, on how these services will be provided efficiently and within prescribed criteria.
