The Victorian Workcover Authority is the regulator of Victoria's workplace health and safety, workers' occupational rehabilitation and compensation system and insurance scheme.
Broadly, the responsibilities of the organisation are to:
- Help prevent workplace injuries occurring
- Enforce Victoria's occupational health and safety laws
- Provide reasonably priced insurance for employers
- Help injured workers return to the workforce
- Manage the workers' compensation scheme by ensuring the prompt delivery of appropriate services and adopting prudent financial practices
Workcover Agents administer the worker's compensation scheme and are responsible for premium collection, claims management and the delivery of benefits, rehabilitation and return to work of injured workers.
The Authority is seeking to appoint a Service Provider who can supply industrial print services which encompasses the bulk personalised printed output of the Victorian Workers' Compensation Scheme.
Interested parties should note that the Service Provider will be required to demonstrate its capability and capacity to print an extra 5,000,000 impressions and 3,000,000 mail packs per annum, in accordance with the production schedules provided by the Authority, over and above its existing printing commitments.
The closing date for responses is 4:00 pm (AEST) Friday 23 July 2004.

Respondents are required to complete a properly executed Confidentiality Deed in order to obtain the Additional Information CD which contains essential information required to formulate a response. It is a mandatory criterion of this RFT that Respondents submit a properly executed Confidentiality Deed no later than 5pm on Friday 25 June 2004 (please note that this date has changed from the date of Friday 18 June 2004 stated in the Advance Tenders notice issued on 24 May 2004).
The Confidentiality Deed is available for download from this website. Instructions on how to properly complete the Confidentiality Deed are contained in the document.
The properly executed Confidentiality Deed must be submitted to the Contact Person below. The Contact Person will respond within three business days with details on how and when the Additional Information CD can be collected in person from the Authority.
Only interested parties who have submitted a properly executed Confidentiality Deed will be eligible to receive answers to questions about the RFT. All questions must be in writing via email or fax to the Contact Person below. Telephone enquiries will not be accepted.
