Description
Purpose / Aim of tender
Tenders are sought for a statewide coaching program for experienced principals. The coaching will be aimed at developing higher order leadership capabilities such as Educational Leadership, Symbolic
Leadership and Cultural Leadership.
The coaching sought in this tender aims to:
• provide professional support and guidance to principals
• enhance the leadership skills of participants to embed a performance and development culture in schools
• enhance principals' understanding of their role as effective educational leaders
• improve the capacity of principals to provide effective leadership.
Scope of tender
The Service Provider will develop a suitable proposal that incorporates the design and delivery of a coaching program for experienced principals. The coaching will be aimed at enhancing each
individual's capacity to manage their own performance improvement and professional development. (See project specification for details).
The program must be accessible to experienced Victorian government school principals across the state. The program will be delivered to approximately 100 experienced principals in 2004 (with an
option of extension in 2005, 2006 and 2007– exercisable at the sole discretion of DE&T).
