Purpose/aim of Tender

The specific purpose of the tender is to determine the specific workload of teachers employed on Victorian Government Secondary Schools.  It is intended that information gathered from the study will
assist DE&T in maintaining a clear understanding of current secondary workloads to assist in workforce planning.

Scope of Tender/Specific tasks/Mandatory requirements

The scope of the tender will include the collection of data on current work required of teachers in Victorian Government Secondary Schools drawn from the random sample of schools selected to
participate.  The contract will be specific to DE&T in that the data collected will remain confidential to the Department.  

The successful contractor will be required to design an appropriate methodology to obtain the information required from the secondary school community.  Mandatory requirements are dealt with in Part
B – The Specification. In summary the successful contractor must be able to demonstrate to the Department that their organisation has the necessary infrastructure to perform the study.  The
methodology developed as part of the study must be approved by the Department.  All data collected will be returned to the DE&T including data collection instruments.  A written final report will be
submitted to the Department at the conclusion of the study.  Agreed timelines will be met and all costs will be fully accounted for and payment schedules will be met as agreed to by both parties.
