The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified and experienced parties to undertake health service based audits of International Classification of Disease (ICD) coding of samples of patient records, together with validation of specified administrative data that are reported to the Department of Health by health services. The audit will review patient separation data for three financial years commencing in 2010-2011, totalling approximately 39,000 admitted patient episodes.
