Fishermans Bend Innovation Precinct - Stage 1 – Smartpoles - (RFP- 13920) 

Buying for Victoria –Advanced Tender Notice 

Development Victoria is seeking a suitable contractor for the design, fabrication and install of Smartpoles as part of Stage 1 of the Fishermans Bend Innovation Precinct (FBIP) Project in Port Melbourne. 

FBIP intends to procure up to 18 Smartpoles that will be capable of hosting data sensors, 5G Small Cells, Wi-Fi, EV Charging and other capabilities, as well as delivering street and park lighting in accordance with approved design.

This RFP will be conducted as a single phase Limited Tender. Participants must have relevant expertise and experience in the design, fabrication and install of Smartpoles.

The successful contractor will be engaged under  Development Victoria’s Supply of Goods and Services Contract as applicable for the procurement of construction goods and services. It is intended that the contract will at some point be novated to the Head Contractor engaged for the delivery of the civil and public main works for the precinct.

The procurement will be subject to the Ministerial Directions for Public Construction Procurement in Victoria, Local Jobs First Policy as a Strategic Project, Major Project Skills Guarantee policy and the Social Procurement Framework.

Full detail of the procurement will be distributed to invited tenderers with the RFP notice in September 2023.
