The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) has released a Request for Tender (RFT) for suitably qualified and experienced contractors to provide road maintenance services across metropolitan Melbourne. Multiple contract packages within metropolitan Melbourne will be available for tender with an anticipated contract start date of 1 July 2024.

The scope of works under each contract package is expected to include routine and planned road maintenance services as well as access to a portion of competitive works upon meeting performance requirements.

Interested parties must be registered on Buying for Victoria under UNSPSC 72000000 – Building and Facility Construction and Maintenance Services and meet the following Head, TfV pre-qualification requirements to be eligible to participate in the RFT:

In addition, the following pre-qualification requirements will apply to those parties performing the respective work components (i.e. the Contractor and/ or its subcontractors). If Tenderers are relying on the prequalification status of their subcontractors to meet the following pre-qualification requirements, Tenderers will need to include these details as part of their Tender response.

Where two or more Applicants wish to submit an RFT under a joint venture or other consortium type arrangement, between them they must as a minimum hold all the nominated pre-qualification levels, including at least one Participant holding the required full financial level, at the time of submitting their RFT.

Registration Process for Request for Tender

Applicants who have registered their interest in submitting an RFT for the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract and that satisfy the mandatory requirements under the Head, TfV pre-qualification scheme in the nominated categories and levels above, will receive an email confirmation to register for access to the Electronic Data Room (EDR) for the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract procurement. A registration link for access to the EDR along with introductory information will be included in the return email.

This RFT closes 13 November 2023 at 14:00 Hours AEST (Local time in Victoria Australia).
